About The Royal Pavilion, Brighton
The Royal Pavilion was built as a seaside pleasure palace for the Prince Regent, later George IV, and transformed by John Nash between 1815 and 1823. Outside it has onion domes and minarets in the Indian style; inside, the Banqueting Room and Music Room are dazzling fantasies of Chinese-inspired decoration. It is run by Brighton & Hove Museums.
