River views from the Festival Hall

Skylon occupies a long glass-walled room on the river side of the Royal Festival Hall, named after the futuristic tower of the 1951 Festival of Britain. The menu is seasonal and British, and the views across the Thames to the Embankment are the draw; it is a good choice before a concert. Waterloo and Embankment stations are both within walking distance, across Hungerford Bridge for the latter. Book a window table for the best views, especially in the evening.
