Portobello Road runs north through Notting Hill past pastel-painted houses. Its market is at its biggest on Saturdays, when antiques and collectables dealers line the southern end, with fruit, vegetables, food and vintage fashion further north. Arrive early to beat the crowds. Notting Hill Gate and Ladbroke Grove stations serve the two ends of the road. Bring cash as well as cards for some stalls, and keep an eye on bags in the crowds.
