Fulham Palace

For more than a thousand years Fulham Palace was the country home of the Bishops of London. Its Tudor courtyard, Georgian rooms, museum and walled garden are now open to visitors, and Bishop’s Park runs along the river beside it. Check the website for opening days. Putney Bridge station on the District line is a few minutes’ walk away. The walled garden and the riverside Bishop’s Park are lovely in spring and summer.
