The Jazz Cafe opened in 1990 in a former bank on Parkway, Camden, and holds about 450 people across two floors. Its programme mixes jazz, soul, funk, hip-hop and world music, with club nights at weekends. A mezzanine restaurant overlooks the stage, which is a comfortable way to see a show. Camden Town station is a minute’s walk away. Tickets are sold on the venue’s website, and popular shows sell out in advance.
