About Driving in central London: Congestion Charge and ULEZ

Driving in central London means two charges. The Congestion Charge applies in the central zone from 07:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 12:00 to 18:00 at weekends and on bank holidays; it costs £18 a day if paid in advance or on the day, or £21 if paid by midnight of the third day after travel. The Ultra Low Emission Zone covers all London boroughs, and vehicles that do not meet its emissions standards pay £12.50 a day; foreign-registered vehicles must also register with TfL. Parking is scarce and expensive, so most visitors use public transport. Check current rules and charges on tfl.gov.uk.
