Brighton Palace Pier, opened in 1899, stretches out to sea from the seafront, lined with funfair rides, amusement arcades and food stalls. It is the classic way to enjoy the British seaside, especially on a sunny day. The pebble beach, the Lanes and the Royal Pavilion are a short walk away.
