A World Heritage garden

About Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

Kew Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, spreads along the Thames in south-west London. Its Victorian glasshouses are the stars: Decimus Burton’s Palm House, full of tropical plants, and the vast Temperate House. The Treetop Walkway takes you up into the canopy, and there are galleries, a Japanese gateway and the Great Pagoda. From 9 May 2026 to 31 January 2027 the gardens host Henry Moore: Monumental Nature, an outdoor exhibition of his sculpture. Allow at least half a day, and book on kew.org.
