Greenwich Park climbs from the National Maritime Museum and the Queen’s House to the Royal Observatory on the hill, from where the view stretches across the Thames to Canary Wharf and the City. It has gardens, a small deer park and wide lawns, and is part of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site. Greenwich and Cutty Sark DLR stations and Greenwich Pier are close by. The climb to the Observatory is steep but short.
