Hampstead Heath, managed by the City of London Corporation, covers a wide sweep of hills, woods, meadows and ponds in north London. From Parliament Hill the whole skyline of central London is laid out below. The bathing ponds are famous, and at the northern edge stands Kenwood House, run by English Heritage, with its paintings and gardens. Hampstead Heath and Gospel Oak stations are on its southern edge.
