Brasserie Zédel occupies the restored Art Deco basement of a former hotel on Sherwood Street, a few steps from Piccadilly Circus. The great gilded dining room serves French brasserie classics, from steak haché to choucroute, and there is a cocktail bar and a cabaret room, Crazy Coqs, alongside. It is a handy choice before a West End show.
