Sadler’s Wells, on Rosebery Avenue in Clerkenwell, stands on a site where there has been a theatre since the 17th century. Today it is devoted to dance, from contemporary and hip hop to flamenco and ballet, with companies from around the world. Angel station is about five minutes’ walk away. Book ahead for popular companies, and check the website for talks and family events.
