About Kimpton Fitzroy London
Kimpton Fitzroy London, on the eastern side of Russell Square, opened in 1900 as the Hotel Russell, designed by Charles Fitzroy Doll in exuberant terracotta. After restoration, its marble staircase, mosaics and Palm Court are again on show, with a restaurant and bars. The British Museum is a few minutes’ walk away, and Russell Square station is next door. Its website lists Fitz’s Bar, Fitz’s Brasserie and afternoon tea.
