Tate Britain

Tate Britain, on the river at Millbank, shows British art from 1500 to the present day. Its collection includes paintings by Hogarth, Constable and the Pre-Raphaelites, and the Clore Gallery holds the largest collection of works by J.M.W. Turner. It hosts the Turner Prize exhibition in many years. Pimlico station is about ten minutes’ walk away, and the Tate Boat links Tate Britain with Tate Modern along the river; check the timetable.
