The Museum of the Home, formerly the Geffrye Museum, occupies a row of 18th-century almshouses on Kingsland Road in Hoxton. Its rooms show how people have lived at home in London from around 1600 to the present, and its gardens follow the same timeline. The period rooms are especially popular in the weeks before Christmas. Hoxton station on the Overground is next door.
