Beigel Bake has been baking bagels on Brick Lane since 1974 and is known for staying open 24 hours. Behind the counter, the staff slice hot salt beef into bagels with mustard, and fill others with smoked salmon and cream cheese; there are also loaves, cakes and pastries. There is no seating, so customers eat standing outside or walking. Shoreditch High Street station is about five minutes away. Expect a queue on weekend nights, though it moves quickly.
