The Lloyd’s building, home of the insurance market Lloyd’s of London, was designed by Richard Rogers and completed in 1986 on the corner of Lime Street and Leadenhall Street. It is a leading example of “Bowellism”, with lifts, stairs and ducts placed on the outside to free the interior around a great atrium. It is a listed building. Bank, Monument and Aldgate are the nearest stations. The interior is not generally open to the public, but the exterior is best seen from Lime Street and Leadenhall Market.
