The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park occupies a red-brick Edwardian building on Knightsbridge, with one side facing the shops and the other looking over Hyde Park. It is home to Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and a spa, and Harrods and Harvey Nichols are a short walk away. Knightsbridge station is a few steps away. Ask for a park-view room when you book. Its website lists the Mandarin Bar, The Rosebery for afternoon tea, a spa and a concierge team. The building opened in 1889 as apartments and became a hotel in 1902.
