The People’s Park of the East End

Victoria Park was created in the 1840s as a public park for the people of the East End, and is still known as the People’s Park. It has lakes, formal gardens, a pagoda and sports fields, and is bordered by the Regent’s Canal and the Hertford Union Canal. It is managed by Tower Hamlets Council. Mile End and Hackney Wick are the nearest stations.
