J Sheekey has served fish and shellfish in St Martin’s Court, in the heart of Theatreland, since the 1890s. The rooms are wood-panelled and hung with photographs of actors, and the menu runs from oysters and dressed crab to Dover sole and the much-loved fish pie. The oyster bar next door is good for a lighter meal; book for pre- or post-theatre times.
