About The Wallace Collection

The Wallace Collection was left to the nation in 1897 by Lady Wallace and opened in 1900 in Hertford House, the family’s town house on Manchester Square. Its rooms are filled with paintings by Titian, Rembrandt, Velázquez and Frans Hals, whose Laughing Cavalier hangs here, with French 18th-century paintings, furniture and porcelain, and one of the finest collections of arms and armour in Britain. The glass-roofed courtyard has a restaurant. Check the website for exhibitions and events.
