The Prince Alfred, Maida Vale

The Prince Alfred was built in 1856 and keeps one of London’s finest Victorian pub interiors, with carved wooden partitions, etched glass and low doors between the bars, and the snob screens that once kept customers out of the bar staff’s view. It was upgraded to Grade II* listing in 2022 for its interior and is on CAMRA’s National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors. Warwick Avenue station is a few minutes’ walk, close to Little Venice.
