The White Cross is a Grade II listed pub on Richmond’s riverside, between Water Lane and Richmond Bridge, serving Young’s beers. The Thames is tidal here, and spring high tides regularly flood the path and the front of the pub, which has a separate entrance up steps for those times. The terrace looks across the river towards Twickenham. Richmond station is about ten minutes’ walk. It is a good stop on a riverside walk to Richmond Hill or Petersham.
