Roast occupies the Floral Hall, a glass-and-iron portico salvaged from Covent Garden’s old flower market, above Borough Market. The menu celebrates British produce, much of it from the market below, with roasts as the centrepiece and hearty breakfasts. Tables by the windows look down onto the stalls. London Bridge station is a few minutes’ walk away. Book ahead for Sunday lunch, when it is at its busiest, and allow time to explore the market below before or after your meal.
