Wiltons began as a shellfish stall in the Haymarket in 1742 and now occupies an elegant, old-fashioned dining room on Jermyn Street. The menu is classic British: oysters, potted shrimps, grilled Dover sole and, in season, game. Service is formal and attentive, and a jacket is expected for gentlemen; check the dress code when you book. Green Park and Piccadilly Circus are the nearest stations, and the historic shops of Jermyn Street surround it.
