Selfridges opened on Oxford Street in 1909, founded by the American Harry Gordon Selfridge, and its columned façade still dominates the street. Inside are floors of designer fashion, beauty, homeware and one of London’s best food halls, along with restaurants and bars. Its window displays, especially at Christmas, are an attraction in themselves. Bond Street and Marble Arch stations are both a few minutes’ walk away.
